There's a saying, we grow too soon old and too late smart. I achieved the former way too fast and hope that the latter has accumulated like a winter blizzard. I like telling stories, some fictionalized and others based upon the myriad experiences accumulated over my 68 years.
I appreciate second chances, especially in marriages. The ability to course-correct your life can never be undervalued. My last 20 years are proof of that. Four children taught me that I can successfully do a second full-time job. I apparently performed it fairly well though it remains a twenty-year pass-fail class that can't be retaken if you fail.
With my Masters's Degree in Public Administration in hand, I spent many years doing my best to improve the way we govern ourselves. Despite numerous personal successes, it appears our country doesn't seek improved ways of governing. But I'm retired, so let somebody else drink that kool-aid.
If you read my stuff, I hope you enjoy yourself. In the end, enjoying yourself is all you can control.
